Potters Creek Newsletter

July 2008

Greetings!  As the new president of Potters Creek Civic Association, I wanted to introduce myself and provide you with information regarding our neighborhood and some exciting upcoming activities for you and your family.

Please join me in extending a personal thank you to Jim Uhlman who was president of PCCA for approximately 6 years--far longer than the two year term required.  With his leadership, we held many terrific neighborhood gatherings, set new dues-paying members records, averaging between 85-90% of our total home membership (132 homes).  He also manages (and has agreed to continue to do so) the general landscaping area at the front of our neighborhood.  Thank you, Jim!

An additional note of appreciation goes to Bob Burpee, Treasurer and Blake Godard, Website Developer and trustee.  Bob has agreed to continue to run the books for our neighborhood even after doing so for 6+ years.  Blake developed and updated the website for many years and plans to get the website updated and maintain it with basic information soon.

My husband Bobby and I moved into the neighborhood in 2001 and have enjoyed meeting many of you during our transition to Columbus.  We should be proud that we are a neighborhood of good neighbors; active, social, and welcoming.  On that note, be sure to check out the calendar of events already planned for you!  Please find the attached information from Jen Reis regarding the upcoming Labor Day Party.  So many of you have told me this is one of your favorite PCCA traditions.  Thanks for coordinating, Jen!  Thanks, too, to Denise Wollett for agreeing to spearhead both the Halloween Pot Luck and Easter Egg Hunt.

Interested in becoming an officer of PCCA?  If so, we are in need of a Vice President and Secretary.  Additionally, the individuals leading up the social events are always eager to have help.  Please contact me, or the individual in charge, if you’re interested.

Thanks for making Potters Creek such a great place to live!
